You are one of approximately 500 Detention Officers and Detention Supervisors who have been asked to participate in this study of the Wyoming Detention Officer Basic
Course content. The responses you provide will ensure that entry-level training meets the needs of Wyoming Detention Officers.

The questionnaire that follows is extensive, detailed and, we hope, accurately addresses the complexity of the job of the basic, full-time Detention Officer in Wyoming. It is organized into four parts as follows:

General Tasks: 267 questions
Physical Demands: 38 questions
Degrees of Physical Exertion: 22 questions
Equipment List: 100 questions
